60 Year of Desegregation

I attended the lecture of George Starke Jr. at the recent event honoring 60 years of desegregation at my law school. I also recently saw a book about The Power of Letting Go by Quame Love, a UC Berkeley graduate. Lots of thoughts. Election recount looming.

The event included reflections from current students and alumni, with a tribute to Starke, the first Black student admitted to the University of Florida.

As a Virgil Hawkins fellow, I was glad to see the school’s the digital timeline.
